after three days of hectic travelling and one day at school (playing water polo! which was very tiring btw) around 40 people headed off to the blue mountains for the woodwind and strings tour :))
got to school at 7:15 ish and waited around for a while, then packed everything onto the bus (funnily only the cellos and bari/tenor saxes went in the cargo section of the bus) and we had the short trip up to the first primary school. performed (dodgily, shush i sightread alot!) and got free food! 8) then took photos of shadows (yeah we have an obsession) and gazed at the bell tower, thinking about how tempting it was to ring the bell :D mucked around some more, then headed off the the second school. they gave us free lunch! :D then set up and performed again, this time much less dodgily and then headed off to accomo ^^
after discovering the rooms were quite awesome and big :D we changed and headed off the the scenic railway yaay :) talked to the yr 9's, sometimes about random stuff, sometimes about deeper stuff. it's so nice walking around surrounded by trees and its semi darkness. :) headed back up, had some free time, took more shadow pictures (yeah see what i mean :D) and had a very relaxing afternoon. played with shadows, chilled playing big 2, then had a massive dinner where the guys ate heaps and the girls ate.. alot less. haha. but theres 3 of us and like 10 of them .-. mr wong: 'thats disgusting!' i swear he said that like 5 times because he was looking at the guys food, and then we started saying it as a joke and then it kinda stuck as a mr wong quote :L and dessert! icecream omnomnom ^^ then after we stuffed ourselves we had to practice :( stomach aches =/ and then we danced to one of the strings songs! i think it was pizzatango? or something like that LOL. it was hilarious, couldn't stop laughing 8D then came the jamming session ft. paul, clement, me, richard, alex (for a few minutes, though i never heard him) and annette! whoohoo ^^ jazzy people are cool :) it was interesting to hear people who said they couldn't play jazz play jazz ;) and hear others who are just damn amazing :) then packed up, headed off to a massive game of tord which me and a few others walked out of. chilled and talked in the guys room with karina, alex, clement, daaron, paul, and paddy who didn't really talk. but secrets flew around the room, guessing games occured and interesting things were discovered and discussed. ;) bahahahaha
got up bright and early (no not really) and had brekkie, packed up, went to another gig. then we talked the people at the retirement village and then headed off to Leura (which was very close by) where we saw someone from earlier! except i don't even really remember talking to them LOL. wandered around, visited a toy shop, then 7 guys walked off to eat lunch at a chinese restaurant lol >< so me, karina, annette, richard and alex mucked around a bit longer in the shop, took photos of cute things yay :D and headed off for lunch :D which we ate in the middle of the road which was the awesomest thing ever and it is not something you do everyday hahaha sorry this sentence is uber long. :D then bought lollies :D and wandered around with yr 9's. Leura's such a nice place :)) we're going back there one day :D then the trip home was quite.. interesting ;) won't mention what happened or some people are going to be all 'wtf' or be angry at me hahaha :) good times good times. chips are yummy ;) got back to sydney and it was boiling :( then crashed drama, tried to find doyle and then mucked around until everyone left :)
this truly has been an amazing band tour, thank you for the fun, the awesome people, the learning experience and the wonderful memories that i won't forget :)) THANK YOU! :)
