So dofe hike was the weekend. Go and read Ivy's blog. :D I'll just give a brief story on what happened to my group :)
Sang songs and talked with Tanya, George, Clement on the way there. We left the place about an hr after the first group which really really annoyed me because it was 12 when we left Somerset. .-. But we took this van over to our starting place and climbed the side of the mountain. So freaking tiring. Then we ate lunch at the top, then the storm hit us. D: It wasn't as bad for us, there was hail but not that much. The entire track ended up being a creek. ==" When it was storming Michael goes "I have never felt more alive!" and then afterwards he just runs through the puddles and water. Then we just walk and walk and walk until we get to the campsite. And i nearly got bitten by a leech DDDD: At first the other tents were in a line, but then after we got there we moved them into a circle so all the entrances faced inwards :D aren't we cool :3 Then we went to the campfire and i toasted my bread that was for dinner and mashmellows on a stick (thanks ange for bring them!) and we just tried to dry off LOL and talked for the next couple of hours. There seemed to be a lot of pyromania and jokes about drop bears and russians... Talked in the tents for a few more hours with a few people because i cbb to think about the dramatic stuff, then hid from Tanya hehehe. Funniest part of the night LOL.
We left later than the other group the next morning too. There was a massive steep climb up (again) more walking, bull ant bites and more walking, discovery of a few things and then after we went down we ended up in an alpaca field and we went over to pat it ! hehehehehe :D Then we walked on the edge of the road back to where we started. Chilled and then trip home. Had a long talk with Clement ahahaha and like Ivy, I shall also mention what was not suppose to be mentioned. It'll stay between those who were there. :)
Thank you so much R14 people who went (remember writing that on the sand as well as our chinese names? LOL) you guys made it amazing! Through the rain, hail, thunder, lightning, sweat, heat and everything else, we made it. :D It'll always be something that i'll remember, and its amazing to know that there's this bond that holds us together because of whats happened! :D
vday tomorrow :)
